Can you feel the buzz?

This popup lab was developed by a team in Greece.

ISSUE: Biodiversity, climate change, food-chain, endangered bee species
AGE OF PARTICIPANTS: Youth workers (can be adapted to younger audiences)
TOTAL DURATION: 8 h to 8 h 30 min
TYPE OF APPROACH: Art Based Learning, Experiential Learning, Non-formal Learning

The phenomenon of the disappearing bee is directly linked to climate change and environmental decline; both of them are results of human footprint on the planet. Through learning more about the struggles of the bee species to maintain her position in the modern world, the participants are encouraged to reflect on their footprint, on their place and role in the ecosystem, but also ways to take action through a quite informal biology-inspired laboratory path.
